Sabancı University's Executive Development Unit (EDU), which organizes customized programs for organizations and training programs open to individuals, has been approved for full membership in UNICON, the Global Consortium of Business‐school‐based Executive Education Organizations. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, UNICON aims to accelerate the development of leaders and executives and increase performance in organizations through activities such as conferences, research projects, benchmarking, and extensive networking among members. UNICON currently has members from 115 organizations worldwide.

Former Director of Sabancı University Executive Development Unit (EDU) Dr. Cüneyt Evirgen expressed that they are proud to be a full member of UNICON, the global reference point in this field that brings together prestigious universities from around the world providing services in the field of executive education and said, "We are the first and only organization from Turkey to be approved as a member of UNICON, the Global Consortium of Business‐school‐based Executive Education Organizations, which includes the world's leading schools in the field of executive education. The standards set by UNICON must be met for full membership to the Consortium, which includes 115 highly reputable higher education organizations such as Harvard Business School, Yale, Duke, MIT, London School of Economics, Berkeley, Cambridge and Columbia Business School. These standards include being a university focusing on executive education and development, meeting UNICON's educational standards and demonstrating commitment to the Consortium's goals and activities.
